Vasili Sakkos is a conceptual and lifestyle photographer based in New York. While taking on photography as his full time art medium, he explores his human experience through self portraiture. While also taking a dive into documentary, portrait and travel photography. Vasili took many different art classes throughout public school and was in the Academy of Art and the Art Honors society in high school. From there he moved onto Rockland Community College to get his associates degree in Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Science. While at his time there he took a plethora of art classes. Varying from drawing, digital art and photography. He became most in love with photography and continued to pursue it. Once he graduated from Rockland Community College he spent a summer in Missoula, Montana. There he did a six-week extensive course at Rocky Mountain School of Photography. The skills and knowledge he learned from his time away were finally put to the test when he applied and was accepted into Pratt Institute. He is currently on the track for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. He hopes that his work will inspire others to create and see the beauty in life.
